For anyone needing a lift from a world which often seems to do its best to wear us down, E. W. Wood has written this book just for you. Within these pages you will find a varied approach to a common theme: how to get closer to God, His Son, His Word, and, in so doing, how to discover your own worth and value as part of God's Creation. In this series of writings, the reader will explore the connections between God and our world. With short discourses covering such diverse subjects as science, nature, eschatology, the author demonstrates that behind everything in the universe, there is the awesome wonder of the Master Artist who made it all. Included also are two plays based upon just how the most significant events in Jesus' life might have been experienced by the people who beheld them first hand--exploring both the darkest and brightest times these folks from long ago had ever known, and showing us that even today God has a way of stepping in and turning things around. Perhaps of even greatest importance is the wonderful future which the Bible assures us ultimately awaits for all who have accepted Jesus no matter where you are in life at this moment. Mr. Wood received a degree in Earth Science in 1975 and has been an active member of his church for over forty-five years, serving in his youth as acolyte, acolyte adviser and presently as a liturgical assistant coordinator. He is also currently involved in an independent Bible Prophecy group. He is a recovered alcoholic, the credit which he ascribes wholly to Jesus and has been sober since 1978. Among his other interests are hiking and amateur astronomy. He has been a life-long resident of Connecticut.
