Customer Reviews
Brilliant Resource This is probably one of the most useful tools on your study bookshelf. Helpful, incisive, and superbly crafted together this resource has been and will continue to be frequently made us of. The work on context, history, background give that added and deeper understanding not just to what the writers were trying to say, but how and why. If the Bible itself wasn't enough (which it is!), the online addition which comes free with your purchase is equally brilliant - 2 for the price of 1, love it!
A comprehensive bible for studying Gods word With its beautifully coloured maps, illustrations and informative tables of information this bible is a fantastic tool for studying Gods word. Bear in mind that this bible is quite large and heavy, so you probably will need another (more mobile) bible in if you want to carry the bible with. If you just want to read the bible (or long bible passages) uninterrupted, I would recommend that you use another type of bible, as the wealth of information makes it tempting to stop reading the bible text, and start reading the comments. There is a wealth of information in this book that is almost overwhelming (in a good sort of way). The layout is good, and the information is accessible. You may find the font a bit small, depending on your eyesight, but the content and translation is very good, bordering on excellent. If you already have a bible, this should be your second one.... if you don't have a bible, consider whether you need a regular bible or a study bible. This bible is definitely a STUDY bible, and well worth the money.
Great Bible with excellent on-line features The additional information in the Bible is well suited to a serious, but not too acedemic, reader. For me the on-line access provided was the real gem - the ability to expand/minimise additional information and to follow links (without turning to other Bible sections is a great convienience.
